It has been a while …

I have been quiet of late but I assure you there’s a great deal going on behind the keyboard. I now have a working title for my next book AND a cover however, you’ll have to wait a while before I can show it to you.

Normally, at this time of year I would be attending Wigtown Book Festival, taking the opportunity to listen to some of my favourite authors discuss their latest book and for some family time.  A poorly dog, involving multiple vet visits meant that travelling to Scotland was just not possible nor would it be fair on her at nearly thirteen years of age.  While she may never be the energetic Border collie she once was, she’s happy to plod around the garden albeit at a much slower pace.

Once again, I am taking part in Children in Read 2022 in support of the  BBC Children in Need Appeal. This year I am offering a copy signed copy of Three Weeks Last Spring.  The successful bidder will also receive a voucher to download a free copy of the Audiobook of The House on the Shore. If you enjoy reading romantic suspense and listening to audiobooks you can find my books under lot 180. The minimum bid is £10 and there are over 500 books to choose from, covering a wide range of genres, so far £9,862 has been pledged, so please consider supporting this worthwhile event. You have until the 18th November to place a bid, so please pop along to the Children in Read website and take a look.

I’ll be at the Holiday Inn, Dodworth, Barnsley Christmas Market, selling and signing copies of my books on Sunday 20th November along with author L. H Stacey. Entry is free and there will be a variety of stalls and a free raffle. This year’s market is supporting  BIADS – Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support, a local organisation which provides support to those affected by this cruel disease, their families and friends – a truly worthwhile cause.  Entry is free and there will be a variety of stalls and a free raffle. Lynda and I hope to see you there.

Sheffield Authors will be present at Kelham Island Museum Victorian Christmas Market again this year.  The dates for your diaries: Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December. The stall will be staffed by various members throughout the weekend.  You’ll find our stall in the upper gallery.  It would be lovely to see you and chat about books and writing.
